Inuyama Castle

Last Sunday, I went to Inuyama Castle in Aichi Prefecture, one of the five castles designated as national treasures of Japan. It was built in 1537 by Oda Nobuyasu, an uncle of Oda Nobunaga who was the most powerful warrior in the 16th century. The castle witnessed battles and finally it belonged to the Naruse clan until 1871.  It was so crowded that I had to wait in a line about 40 minutes to go to the top. The stairs to the top were very steep, but I could manage to come back alive. The picture below shows a view from the top, I could see the Kiso river flowing from Nagano Prefecture. If you like Japanese samurai, the castle is worth visiting!
